noise about 45 mph (74kph)

Hallo

About a month before my car (2014 autobox) hear noise which is the most about 45mph
it's a similar noise as it is when a wheels bearing is broken, when I go straight about 45mph (74 kph) noise is most audible,
at other speeds its subdued changing frequency respectively tone, even though I'm going at the same speed and as Imentioned the most on 45mph (74kph)

I have the feeling that it goes from the front

thanks for reply Thumbs Up

EDIT: I forgot to say it will start to show the most when is hot (30-35 Celsium) therefore is hot road or wheel
when is cold (12-15Celsium) the noise is quieter but still there

Would have thought front transfer box, but this tends to get louder with speed.
If not a wheel bearing (fairly common) it could be the support bearing for the right hand drive shaft. Tangiers Orange - gone, missing her
Replaced by Ewok what a mistake - now a happy Disco Sport owner

Also if your tyres are getting worn it could be those, the FL2 seems very sensitive to uneven/odd/worn tyres. Regards

David

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......

Hate to say it but the Wranglers do seem to be the tyre that cause most issues, they certainly did on my car.

Just how much tread is left on them? Regards

David

Just put my original 17" wheels with Good Year Wranglers back on as I will be selling my set of Evoque wheels which are fitted with Pirelli Scorpions - WHAT A DIFFERENCE Shocked

The road noise is incredible compared to the Pirellis
The ride and handling is "woolly" compared to the Pirellis

Therefore I have NO DOUBT Wranglers are NOISY to the point where you start thinking the transmission is failing
No Longer the owner of a 2013MY Fuji White GS

"Fiat Lux" a philosophy not a car
