Wow RealBeale!

You know you’re stuff.

To be honest I’m not the best at DIY let alone pulling cars apart!

Really appreciate the extensive breakdown. Very helpful.

Mine is a genuine hst model so I think my top grill will be fixed in a bit different.

As for the lower grill. Yeah probably best to respray in situ.

If the garage I use to respray say they’ll need to take the whole bumper off then I’ll get a new lower one which is cheaper than a respray.

Very informative. Thanks and enjoy the rest of your holiday Thumbs Up

The HST grille (Genuine part) was bought at one of the Land Rover shows and fitted exactly how Land Rover fitted them at Halewood - chopping out the original grille and fitting the new HST item with the body tape . Cheap and easy.

This........the HST was a very low volume body kit, it was fitted well enough fit. Laughing Regards

I'm afraid Box Brownie is 100% correct in quoting what I said. LR just chopped the original grilles out and fitted the body kit. You'll find all of your body kit if fitted with body tape. Not very substantial but easier to replace in the case of damage. Or at least you'd think so. The kit was painted off the vehicle as there's so much movement and flex in the bumpers when fitting them that the kit would detach . Case in point - if you do find the kit second hand including the bumpers, the front kit is ALWAYS detached. I can show you what happens when you paint the kit that's attached to the bumper before the bumper is attached to the vehicle and it's not pretty.

Thanks RealBeale. Very interesting. When I pick it up at the weekend I’ll be sure to have a thorough look.

Sorry BoxBrownie but after your other comments I thought u were taking the Censored .

My apologies.

A bit more factual would have helped.

Thanks again guys for the help.
