Should I spend all this money ????

My freelander 2 TDI needs a 10 year service. Apparently this will include timing belt, water pump, all idler pulleys, all fluids, inc Haldex & filter etc ANY IDEA's WHAT THIS MIGHT COST AT A REPUTABLE GARAGE. The chain connecting the camshafts is not a service item but might be worth changing if you are at all concerned about it??? Why not ??? I might as well.
For the price of a new crankshaft sensor, it is worth changing just to prove if it is faulty or not.

I found out via the fault codes from the mechanic that it does need the 'Crankshaft sensor' strange thing this is, it kept cutting out on me when the engine was warm, gave me really bad MPG, and juddered like it was trying to change gears ...... odd, anyway it will be changed tomorrow.

The service history is to say the least a bit scetchie from the last owner, and I can't get hold of him ... I've tried.
I've already had to have the back brakes done, a rear wheel bearing done, a reconditioned 'transfer box installed', now the 'crankshaft sensor' will be done. As this is the last vehicle I'll ever own (cancer with prognosis) I might as well have the FULL 10 year service done .... all in a matter of 6 months, someone will get a good car (if my son doesn't nick it first) I do intend to do some mileage in it but not fantastic .... just hundreds .... thats all, am I wasting my money .... other than than that, it's in bloody good condition with 116k on the clock and I'm the 3 rd owner. Thumbs Up

SO ANY GOOD GUESS WHAT A REPUTABLE GARAGE WILL CHARGE ME FOR THE 10 YEAR SERVICE .... PLEASE Bow down

Sorry but I don't think he'll appreciate me giving his name .... but if it's any use .... this is 'Mates Rates' as I have 'terminal Cancer'.
