Yep that's normal. Seem to think there's a starter, similar to a flouresent light, will have a look.

Well, took the lamp unit out, cleaned all connections and give them a spray, and he presto all good. Thanks to all for your input.

good cheap result Thumbs Up

We were only discussing here how difficult it is to change bulbs on some cars these days, started by a woman here who drives a Fiat 500 and apparently its a nightmare to change headlight bulbs.
I gladly told them how easy it is to remove a FL2 headlight unit and change the bulbs, 10 minute job. Very Happy

Tungsten DRL

Does anyone know how to activate the DRL on a 2012 SD4 HSE?

You have to activate in the CCF, if you don't have a tool for this you will need to go to a dealer & get them to change the code. Like everything on the car! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Hi there, they only come on when I press the light button on the key fob. I thought there may be something in the car that turns them on

They will come on so you can find the car but for driving the CCF will need to be edited depending on the legislation of each country, some countries allow DRL & some don't. If you don't have the tool for editing you will have to go to a dealer. The car is a computer pretending to be a vehicle! Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
