Interesting, apparently not only is it a 3.2 i6 it’s a 3.2 V6 as well......with both those engines under the hood I’ve no idea how they squeeze the gas valve in as well Rolling with laughter

Vauxhall dabbled with LPG on new vehicles, must have been back in the late 80s or early 90s I think, I remember seeing them being fitted with the gear at Millbrook (never fitted on the line) when GM owned Millbrook and we used to hire certain test facilities for our vehicles.

They dropped it very soon afterwards Whistle Regards

David

Looks like those pictures were taken at the auction site they got the car from.......and their advert majors far too much on a “don’t blame us if you didn’t notice something wrong before you buy” attitude than describing the car, barge pole, wouldn’t touch, springs to mind. Regards

if only the road tax was cheaper on them, the best car I ever had was a Honda Legend (2nd generation) 3.2i v6 engine, I had that converted to LPG in 2005, when the car was 13 years old, it was a great money saver, it was just as fast on LPG, seemless swap over from fuel to fuel.

Would like to drive a freelander like that, but maybe not buy it. 2017 SEAT Ateca 4drive 2.0 xcellence (May 2022 -
2007 HSE with HST bodykit in Zermatt Silver 169,700 miles (dec 2016 - May 2022 )
2007 Honda Civic Type S GT (2012-2017)
2002 Mini Cooper S (2008-2012)
1992 Honda Legend 3.2i (2003-2008)
1990 Honda Concerto (1999-2003)
1985 Honda Accord (1997-1999)
1983 Honda Accord (1993-1997)
1983 Mini Mayfair (1988-1993)

Just search "Cars with no reserve" online. Or just look at their "sold" items and then winning bids. You'll see that they are far from being cars with no reserve as they will place a bid using a 0 feedback username if they don't get what they want. Check their current stock against their finished items. Lots of duplicates as they've not achieved the desired price. Conmen.
Also check the DVLA MOT check. Most of these vehicles have shocking MOT history, including the grey Disco OU11YZC which didn't make enough first time around - and has a terrible MOT history. Looks good, but a guaranteed money pit.

Checking the MOT history, it's not been looked after . At 158,000 , I wouldn't chance it, LPG or not.

So did Volvo, Land Rover, Ford etc etc. Don't think any were done on line. Common sense isn't very common.

Not sure on the others but we never had any LPG fitted vehicles in the Ford workshops, that’s not to say of course there weren’t any done before official sale at dealers.

I did photograph some burnt out LPG fitted vehicles in the warranty investigation garage though........not a lot left, but having said that never had a burst/ruptured tank as the pressure release valves worked a treat, but when the LPG control (pressure) valve under the hood melted it made a hell of a mess and stories of fire fighters letting them just burnt out were common. Regards

I've had two Fiesta's and three Focus's in the family all done by "Ford"

Don't blame the firefighters letting it burn it self out. Common sense isn't very common.

Just for the record I have nothing to do with the firm selling the car or the car it self'.

Looks like it failed two mot's both on a light bulb. Common sense isn't very common.

Haha no way, we always worked with them, whether it be fire investigation or letting them cut open old proto shells for practice, they also needed to know all about airbags when they were released that was good fun demonstrating the power of an airbag by firing a wheel/tyre down the track, some ran for a very long way.....they did ask us once to fire a wheel in the air, we refrained from the “altitude test” Rolling with laughter Regards
