Did you have any success?[/quote No luck at, "Halfords", going to a place in Norwich that mix paint and will try to get as good a match as possible. Looks like I'm going to do the job myself as paint shop locally said they don't do that job now as previous work was to time consuming and not very successful, would you believe. So plan "A", rub all paint and lacquer off, under coat with etching plastic under coat, respray Atlas Silver and finish with clear lacquer. Have to wait for warm weather and a breeze free day as no garage. Masking out is going to be a real pain No sign of any, Primer, and paint just coming off with a light rub of wet & dry. I just bought a small touch up paint ( just - Silver - no fancy names) and just hand painted the bit the wasn't silver any more. Can't be bothered doing any more really, unless all the lot starts coming off ?? |

According to Topix mine is Atlas Silver. I had it resprayed by the dealer when I bought the car as it was badly blemished. It’s more of a metallic grey then silver. |

Looks good. Mines not getting any worse yet, so will probably leave it . Not sure when to change the car yet. Normally change at about 6 to 7 years ownership. |

So have you just painted the silver coloured "U" shaped grille surround that originally looked chrome?

It always seems like the outer edge of the grill that discolours but, can't be separated without major surgery, ie; taking the bumper off and then the grill is welded into the bumper. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green
