2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

Problems after replacing front drive shafts etc

Hi all, having changed the front brake discs, control arms and now driveshafts on my 2008 2.2d Freelander I am having problems.

When I go round a corner I am getting reduced drive and it feels similar to a slipping clutch. When I get up to speed I get a fault on the dash saying special programs off and then something along the lines of transmission fault reduced traction.

Has anyone got any ideas?

I'm sure i saw something similar to this a while ago on here and it was a faulty sensor. Which one I can't remember but someone with more knowledge can hopefully further that line of enquiry. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues
2019 DS. Terribly unreliable.

Now greatly regret selling the Outlander. MPG of the FL2 is atrocious and so are the fuel bills. Fun though 😎

2007 Freelander 2 i6 HSE Auto Stornoway Grey

As you changed both brake discs and driveshafts I wonder if in doing the job one of the ABS sensors was damaged or refitted wrongly? Regards

Interesting, I've had a sensor go before and it didn't have the same symptoms. I shall take them out and investigate.

They went back in the same way that they came out but there is a chance they got damaged.

Pretty sure with the correct analyser they can “read” and checked for operation. Regards
