AT tyres WHERE? (std 17" rims)

Why is it SO hard to find slightly more aggressive tyres, something like BFG AT's, that will fit a LR??

I'm struggling to find anything that I can replace the factoryfit 235/65R17 road tyres with.

Its a LANDROVER FFS! Censored It should be easy to get AT or MT tyres!

Any hints? '57 FL2 GS

Hi

You can get the Cooper Dicoverer ATR, they make this in the correct size. They even come with a 118mph speed limit, which is good for AT tyre.

From what I've seen when looking, you're other options are to fork out for either Yokohama or Pirelli, both I think do the right size, or go for a slightly different size.

I don't think that BFGoodrich do 17" ATs, and niether to Goodyear, from what I remember.

Goodyear do the right size as the MT/R, but they don't seem to do it in this country. And apparently they are much more of a compromise on road, according to a couple of people from the G4 club I was speaking to at the LRO show.

Hope this helps.

Does anyone know if it is possible to remove the white writing you get on AT tyres?

Just don't think it would look right on an FL2

i presume you would be able to as its only going to be paint

i would just black it out though as that would be easier, as you wouldn't know what paint stripper/cleaning chemicals would do to the rubber Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

often the white is only on one side of the tyre, so put the tyres on correctly and the white is at the back of the tyre, not sure about all tyre makes but the ones I have seen are like that At work

Rich, whenever I have bought AT's or MT's for my Defender the tyre guys have always asked "White inside or White outside?" - the letters are only painted white on one side of BFG tyres! How can carbon have a footprint, it has no feet?
