Hey guys!

My daytime job is a web developer, but I moonlight as a Search & Rescue crew member, doing land and water search for missing persons. We also respond to DEFRA calls, and double up as 4x4 ambulances when the weather's not great.

Over the last Christmas, I was known as the "Search & Rescue Dan who can't make it to station in a bit of snow". I had a Ford Focus 1.6, which whilst being a good little car, was no good at all in the snow.

I bit the bullet and got a Freelander 2 a local company was trading in for a new discovery.

So far I've been really happy with it, I've had a couple of issues, but its a Land Rover, you're meant to learn about your car

I've made a very minor mod to my landy to add grill amber strobe lights as occasionally may use my car at events where we do first aid cover.



I'm looking to make other upgrades/mods as time goes on (and the wife allows!). Really been looking forward to joining here and getting to know other owners and their stories!

My Son volunteers as emergency doctor at numerous (as time allows) events, his biggest cock up was at the V Festival when one of Little Mix (I think that’s who they were) sprained* her ankle and he treated the injury, she wrote her number on his hand and being a in the medical frame of mind instinctively washed his hands with gel and washed it off all brains and no common sense

Not sure of the official name, it’s based over in Essex although he is in Staffs now, he first started working for them when he was a medical student and now qualified carries on, but of course he has less time available now. Regards

Grew up in Wordsley, ex girlfriend used to live in Cookley on one of the houses on the top end of the village facing over the field onto the A449.

My mum still lives in Wordsley and is moving next year to live with my brother and sister in law in Neen Sollars near Cleobury.

Im back down there in July for a few days to help mum start to clear her house out
