United Kingdom 2014 Freelander 2 SD4 Metropolis LE Auto Fuji White
Registered for 'My Land Rover'

I had an email from Land Rover asking me to register my Freelander into their (new?) website called 'My Land Rover'

It connects you with their on-line service records for your car and then acts as a portal for contacting them and also provides reminders for MOT, Ins, Servicing, etc.

Is this a brand new service, or have they had something similar before?

PS I have just found this website
https://www.landrover.co.uk/ownership/serv...story.html

It looks as if it refers to vehicles registered after 1st July 2013, and works best with cars with the 'In Control' function. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 77k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)

Not sure about what you are being offered but you can view your online service history etc without registering as the service now only needs you to supply a VIN number and no longer needs any personal details.

It seems that all my details are on a 'Dashboard' complete with my nearest dealer and reminders for insurance, tax, MOT, etc.

Also the portal has started working the other way with invitations to update my Sat Nav for £169.

I might be in for a lot of JLR advertising, although I am hoping for an invite to try the new Defender.

PS I'm not sure how much use this site will be, as when I followed up the Sat Nav offer, there isn't any Freelanders in the drop-down menu. I think its aimed at later cars with online communications with LR. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
