There's a switch on the clutch pedal somewhere , that when unplugged disables it. Then when you press the button on the dash , it just says stop / start fault when this switch is disconnected. I know this because when I had my clutch pedal replaced the switch got disconnected and I am going to the garage again tomorrow since it fell out again . I might have knocked it when I was putting some grease on the pedal linkages and springs, since it was creaking slightly ! Don't know if having this switch permanently disconnected will do any harm ?? |

Thanks Dean, I'll mention this when it goes in for a service. In time muscle memory 'should' enable me to press the button everytime I get in but your suggestion is tempting. |

Switch plugged back in again now, so I switch it off manually...not a big problem. Creaking pedal is really annoying since brand new pedal was only fitted in January . Poor quality components ! |
