The genuine pads used to be TRW with Galfer friction material. There are a few threads on this if you search 'galfer'. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

ATE Teves were the OEM supplier to Ford for most of the friction material that was back in the 80’s, 90’s >

(There were other suppliers dependant upon specific model requirements) Regards

Just replaced my rear discs & pads with LR genuine parts purchased from Matford at Exeter & on very close inspection of the discs along with the Land Rover logo the discs were actually made by Brembo, which are available from Europarts at very reasonable prices especially when combined with their various duscount codes which change daily

Pads were marked Ford Motor company.

I don't think I'll bother with genuine LR discs & pads next time I change either front or rear.

Cheers

JLR dont make brakes.

Just wanted to keep the green oval logo on all my new parts - won't be bothering in the future as it's an expensive way to get a print/stamp on a component Shocked

I don’t have a FL2 but on my sport I’ve been fitting genuine LR discs (because they are as cheap as after market for my car) and EBC redstuff pads as I’ve heard they are very good and produce a lot less dust than genuine.

Most of the disc rotors even the Brembo will be made in China anyway . I put Brembo on last time , cheap as chips from Europarts . The callipers are single pot sliders from Ford’s world parts bin , and are used on millions of cars . The pads have been sourced from various “low bidders” over the years the car has been in production. Just buy a trusted brand . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership
