I was looking on Detaling World yesterday someone who tried getting a mark out of the headlining and just kept getting a bigger stain so be careful. |

A steam cleaner if you have one, and a degreaser.

Just be a bit cautious with the steam cleaner as sometimes too much heat can release the lining from it’s fibre base. Regards

That is a very good point Boxbrownie that I hadn't thought of. Thanks for potentially saving my roof lining.

I'd try some degreaser first. I got some bike chain lube on the carpet in the house and used Muc Off bio degreaser first before cleaning the carpet and it came off eventually ok. No guarantee this will work on your headliner so try a small bit first! |

Use heaps of cotton buds so you only get area that needs it. Lots of paper towel to dry up area. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I thought about using the bike cleaning products snappa but am a bit dubious about applying them to fabric. Maybe a last resort of all else fails. Thanks for the suggestion though.

If it does make it worse I guess I'll have to stain the entire ceiling to make it look intentional Freelander 2 XS 2013
