What's the difference between snow and winter tyres? Common sense isn't very common.

Hi,
in case your still asking and may be a bump for the OP

Snow tyres are often mark M&S mud and snow and have an open tread pattern to dig down and then throw out so the tread stays clear as it rotates.

Winter tyres are the snow flake marked ones and are designed to work better at lower temp (from about 4degrees) they have a higher silca compound and have many "sipes" the small cuts in the tread blocks, to giver better grip on cold surfaces such as ice and wet roads, think more about your Stopping distance more grip you stop quicker
each edge of a block is trying to get grip and if you have 3 sipes in each block as well, then each one of them is trying to get grip

well thats what I read on the back of a cornflake box and I put Winters on oct/nov and take back off in the spring

Its very easy to edit the original post to show as "Sold" all you have to do is

change the "For sale" wording inside the brackets in the title to "Sold"

it then changes from a green for sale to a grey sold and makes it a lot easier to quickly see whats still available

Only moaning as looking for a FL2 and what bits are still for sale
