Slightly different offset so they give a fractionally wider track - about 1cm! Evoque wheels are the same size as DS. Ex AA Series III LWB Safari - Gone 300TDi Disco (bought new - terrible car) sent back after 18 months Freelander 1 Estate - leased, given back at end of lease 200TDi Disco (bought from a mate with 100,000 on the clock) - Gone Disco 2 TD5 - sold and exported to France FR2 TD4 GS - Gone FR2 SD4 HSE - Now changed for a DS New model ex-demo Evoque S 180 in white Unable to order a new DS, so gave up. Now have a Volvo S90 Recharge. |

They are 235/60/18 with a 45 offset - the Freelander is 55 so indeed about 1cm wider.

They look better on the Freelander than they do on the DS! My brother has those style on his and they look too small on it....they aren't, but the rising belt line plays tricks on your eyes and makes the vehicle look bigger than it actually is! :lol

Hi, quick question on the offset as this is exactly what I want to do. I understand the wheels will sit out 1cm further but what does that mean for the handling and safety of the car ?......bit nervous to upset anything. 2013 GS sat on 17's at the moment, may just go HSE Freelander 18's but the DS wheels do look fresher. 2007 HSE Auto

You’ll certainly notice a slight difference in the diameter effect on ride, but it’ll be fine. As for the offset it will change the scrub angle at the front a smidge but most ride and handling engineers would be hard pushed to notice the difference. Regards David Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me...... Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again...... |
