Late F2 power steering

Does anyone know of any power steering problems with F2's - our '14 plate Lux makes a groaning noise on full lock?
We're going to Italy next month and don't want problems.

I had that problem the other month - ended up having to replace the power steering reservoir.

There are some good links on the forum on how to do it.

My MY13 has also had this noise on full lock since I picked it up way back in 2013, and I have done absolutely nothing about it. The plan was to let it develop, however it hasn't got any worse in the last 6 years and 50,000 odd miles, so have left it alone.

As and when it gets worse, and/or fails, then I'll deal with it. For now, it's really not that much of an issue to me.

That's really interesting - makes me wonder what's causing it................

No idea - I mentioned it at its 1st year service as I thought that it might be an airlock, but they didn't mention anything was obviously wrong, so just carried on with it. The only observation that I have made over the years is that it is more noisy in milder/warmer weather than winter coldness, but hasn't affected in any way it's performance.

As it's coming up to 7 years old, I'll probably flush it through with new fluid as a treat later in the year, and see if it makes any difference, but it's not anything that concerns me presently.
