Just read your thread, yes avoid Tesco fuel, I work at BMW dealer in Worcester and we had 5 cars recovered in that had been filled with Tesco diesel locally and were all full of water in their fuel systems, all over them had to have at least 8k worth of repairs on them as the water ruined the fuel system. Tesco paid for every repair.

That was a 'one off' problem Tesco had, confined to your area, it is not typical of Tesco fuel .......... otherwise they would never sell any fuel.

The Tesco fuel station in question is undergoing a six week total refurbish, tanks, pipes the lot !!

“Bad fuel” does not really exist . No one contracts to buy diesel to save a few pence .

Bad tanker management , poor tanker cleaning procedures , and low standards of storage tank and delivery pump maintence do exist . If a problem ever gets into your tank there are a hundred things I’d look at beside the refinery .
