United Kingdom 2012 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Lago Grey
Sat nav disc

Hi, I've just purchased a Freelander 2012 SD HSE but unfortunately it doesn't have a Sat nav disc. Does anybody have any recommendations on where I can purchase one or can they be downloaded?

Thanks.

You can buy discs for around £25-£30 on ebay or other online suppliers. An on-line search with the title freelander 2 satnav disc will throw up a few different suppliers. Also a search on the forum will bring up a few recommendations from members who have ordered online. Good luck! Thumbs Up

I have just found that the SatNaviShop is advertising a 2019/20 disc update.

https://www.satnavishop.co.uk/2019-2020-fr...-197-p.asp

The data is likely to be about 6 months out of date but we have not seen a DVD based update for some time.

This is likely to be based on the SUBARU CORE2 NAVIGATION MAP - which has been the case for a number of years as LR have not sanctioned an official release.

United Kingdom 2009 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Santorini Black

I have just done this, much easier than I thought as the DVD is facing reverse under the drivers seat in mine. Started the car up, switched on the sat nav and pressed the eject button under the seat, inserted the disc and waited… and waited, nothing happened, it got stuck on the ‘agree’ screen, waited 20mins and got impatient, with the sat-nav still on, ejected and was prompted with the ‘no-disc inserted’ warning, inserted it again and it was working straight away!

I feel it’s much quicker now all round, i must have missed a lot of updates! The old disc was 2008-2009… Laughing

Thanks for the website link CJOver and the thread pab71

It was probably carrying out a software upgrade - the system software was upgraded a few years ago which you probably did not have this does take a bit of time for it to carry out. MY13 HSE Lux Santorini Black Gone
