turbocharger replacement

Greetings to the whole community.
I dismantled the turbocharger of my FL 2 TD4, as it was broken. The break was caused by the entry of a foreign body, coming from the air filter.
So I had the turbocharger rectified and now I have to refit it. Obviously I have to replace oil filter, air and all the lubricating oil (Castrol 5W-30 C3)
Advice from the most experienced.
Regarding the lubricating oil to be introduced into the turbocharger through the turbo lubrication hole, how do you adjust?

As far as I was aware the oil feed to the turbocharger was simply oil pressure driven.

Have you checked in the workshop/service manual regarding turbo charger removal & replacement ? Jules

The removal of the turbo was not particularly difficult.
The problem now is that the turbo must be fitted again, but it must also be lubricated during assembly.
The instruction manual says that lubricating oil must be inserted into the lubrication hole of the turbocharger, so that the start of the turbine is not completely dry.
What I would like to know is how much oil must be inserted into the lubrication hole of the turbocharger once the turbo is installed.

Its only my opinion but any excessive oil I suspect will be soon dispersed or burnt off so use plenty enough to avoid a dry spin up. I do not think there will be a set amount recommended. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I also think so. My question arises because nothing is specified either on the assembly instructions attached to the new turbo or on the FL workshop manual. I wanted to know how to adjust those that often mount the turbos.

Yesterday I replaced the turbocharger at the Freelander 2 TD4.
In the days before I had dismantled it, as I have already written above.
Taking it apart was not too difficult. Obviously we need the lifting bridge.
Before mounting it, I checked that the turbocharger lubrication tube was free and unbstructed. I cleaned the intercooler and the air tube coming from the air The oil that I put into the turbocharger was used to prevent its first dry start.
I used 80w-90 gear oil in the size of ml10.filter. Then I mounted the turbocharger.
Before assembling it I lubricated the turbocharger with oil.
I put the oil in the turbocharger through the top hole.

Then I mounted the turbocharger. The bolts were all lubricated before being tightened according to the house specifications.
I did not disassemble the EGR valve to disassemble and reassemble the turbocharger. It was not necessary.
I then reassembled the air intake hose from the air filter and the one that connects the turbocharger to the engine intake.
Finally, I reassembled the catalytic converter and the FAP.
Then I restored the electrical connections.
Finally, I replaced the engine oil, the oil filter and the air row, which I had already removed before installing the new turbo.
For at least a hundred kilometers the FL must not be stressed excessively.
The replacement took place at about 250,000 km.
Excuse me for the mistakes, but it's been a long time since I wrote in English.
