I have used it a couple of times, but I don't use, "Supermarket", fuel. You may save a few pence at the pump, but you will pay later when you have to replace pumps or injectors. I warned my neighbour about using, Sainsbury's desiel, but they took no notice £400 bill at about 35000 miles. I rest my case. |

I use both Sainsbury’s and Shell, and have recently been using this Shell V power and not noticed any difference. Marketing ??

The big fuel brands and the supermarket base stock can come from the same refinery , under swap deals . So for example your local supermarket and Shell garage and Esso Garage May load their tankers at the same place . The big difference is the additive pack that goes into the base fuel . Brands like BP and Shell have their own packs which are proprietary.

Same here, never notice any difference. Been using Sainsbury’s fuel lately due to one open up near me 18 months ago before that it was shell. The car doesn’t drive any different apart from when I had to use a BP station one morning and it kept loosing power shortly afterwards when pulling away. Use a couple of fuel cleaners on a couple of fill ups and all come good. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green MY57 SE Stornoway Grey. Gone Nissan X Trail Discovery V8 LPG Series II Land Rover |
