Oil in header tank

Hi all.
Has anyone figured the best way to get the oily sludge out of the header tank.
I done the oil cooler 3 weeks ago and since draining, flushing and re filling the coolant, a load of black sludge has come to the top.
Has anyone managed to clear the oil from the system.

Hi Niffty don't laugh but I use cloths automatic washing powder (daz lemon fresh) smells nice in the car after.

drain the water out of the system, re fill with a good mug full of washing powder, run engine/take for a little drive 20 min might have to do it twice, when clean top up as normal with anti freeze.

see if that works for you

Wayne

Hi Wayne.
Funny you say that, I was wondering if washing powder or liquid would go round the system ok.
Might give it a go this weekend.
Cheers mate.

Hi Niffty, did you flush your water system on your freelander, how did you get on.
