I have no idea about the answers to your questions, but I do wonder why you want to buy a car and then starting changing it so much. Why not just buy one that looks like what you want?

There are a few threads on this, one last week if I remember titled 'facelift'. Again someone had the late model signature drl headlights for sale, they are an easy fit with an adaptor harness. Have a search, loads of info on here. Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
