I will use this method on my Son's Freelander this weekend as he's a bit strapped for cash.

Well I have given it a few months now and no leaks. Hence just cleaning up the rubber seal seems to have done the trick.

I initially sealed my brake lamp with non setting caravan sealant but found it still leaked. A much closer inspection showed the inner was separating from the outer of the lens so ended up with a new lamp anyway. No problems since.

Mine is leaking a bit again now. Time to put a new seal on or re-smear with silicone grease.

Is it easy to disconnect the light plug and the washer tube so I can totally remove the light from the car and clean it up ?? I usually break things when I touch them on cars !

Thanks

Dean

Make sure you have a few spare trim clips when you do the job. Regards

Lovely i6 has now gone, but not me......

Please let me know if anything in my post offends you, as I may wish to offend you again......
