United Kingdom 2013 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto Baltic Blue

Ive dusted down my old Defender side-window poster from the 90's, just need to change it to 'Brussels' now, and print thousands off to give away to cover the ghastly blue EU flag invading the left-hand corner of todays modern numberplates. Mind you, it will probably be construed as a 'Hate Crime' by Plod or similar 'outraged' Europhiles...

Don’t be too hasty , we won’t be leaving anytime soon . We won’t crash out it’s economic suicide ,( unless of course you’re running a hedge fund like Mogg ) If the people’s vote gets any traction, which is quite possible( given May’s shambolic time wasting ) because the right amendment gets voted through , we might not be leaving ever .

There are enough new first time voters with a more open outlook who would get involved , add that to the “ protest voters “ who didn’t expect to leave and won’t be so daft again , and factor in the “ coffin dodgers” with an affinity for the Daily Mail , who no longer dodge , and have taken up their rightful position on the” Bridge of the Great Gunboat in the Sky “... you might end up having to hang on to your Euro Plates .

I reiterate my earlier statement is she actually stupid?or is her end game defeating Brexit ? One thing’s for sure well know in a couple of weeks . 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

2016 Subaru Outback SE 2.0 diesel SE Premium Lineartronic Sold 2024 after 8 years and 80k miles . Best Car I ever owned !

2023 Toyota Hilux invincible X 2.8 Auto .

England 2010 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Auto Galway Green

I travel extensively throughout Europe and I'm still waiting for a Remainer to justify why my taxes are better spent on the vast amount of EU projects I have seen in other countries than spent on the NHS and UK public services.

Funnily, enough, when I ask the locals about why the EU funded the hotel, railway, bridge, leisure spa, marina, railway station, road etc in that location around 70 % of the time the answer is the same - 'This area is very popular with German Industry / tourists………..'. FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

There’s plenty of valuable infrastructure funded by the EU in this part of the UK, even though we see very few German tourists.

Sadly, the regeneration of Penryn harbour has just ground to a halt with EU funding now no longer available. After years of the fishermen blaming all their ills on the EU, this should provide something new for them to talk about Sad

EU funding goes to the poorer areas of the EU and Swindon doesn’t really qualify for that. Not yet anyway. Please provide me with an example of EU funded infrastructure spending in a directly comparible town in Germany.

PS: All German visitors are very welcome here (even those that drove into the back of my Freelander having only just picked up their hire car Rolling Eyes )

My comment was nothing to do with Swindon or with Germany !?!?!?!?

I can assure you that the frequency and size of EU-funded projects in many EU regions is considerably more than in Cornwall.

Thanks for reminding us of how unpopular the Common Fisheries Policy is amongst UK fisherman, especially those in Cornwall.

I shall comment no more, as this is a car forum, but it does appear that I am still waiting...... FL2 HSE Auto Galway Green

You'll be waiting in vain where remainers are concerned. Their frequently-parroted answer largely depends on how much of The Guardian propaganda they have swallowed before 9am on daily basis (before the early morning showing of Play School!)
