My car is gone

Trading my FL2 today on a low km Pajero. After 10.5 years and 317,000 kms it was time. My appreciation to you all for the help provided during this time. So long and thanks for all the fish. Smile

Hope your new car works out well. If I was replacing mine there is nothing that LR makes now that I like! Then there are the dimensions which was a factor why I didn't buy something else. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I picked up an ex government 2015 base modél with 37k kms on it. By all accounts they are pretty bullet proof and it will be a welcome change to have easy access to modifications and accessories. My FL2 was a good car that I took to some unbelievable places, but the high kilometres were getting problematic for going remote.

It will be great to have a choice of manufacturers, designs and colours for all those bits and pieces we can't have at all.

New Member needs help with Sat Nav Updates

Hello to all

I am new to this forum and wondering if anyone is able to advise me on updating the Sat Nav Maps, I have followed several posts and can now understand that my maps are from 2011 which is woeful seeing its a MY13 but moving on my vehicle is a 2013 HSE Luxury with just over 35,000k on it left to me by my son who passed away I want to keep this vehicle but have been given the run around from LR and also many map site who have sold me useless disks as mine is a HDD Update requiring a USB which I have also read about.

I am after any help at all and thank you all in advance for allowing me into this forum

Robert

Hi Robert,

Hijacking another thread is not a great way to start really but here you go.

It all looks fairly straight forward to me, of course there is a cost involved!

My apologies Nick

Had no intention of Hijacking anything, thank you for the link but they are as useless as tits on a bull, have already spent hours on the phone and ended up with a DVD which does not suit my vehicle. They then told me they could not supply a USB HDD Update and are in the process of refunding my entire cost.

Robert

Robert,

There must be an update for Australia, as Subaru use the same unit and mapping. Might be worth contacting them as a lateral thought and see if they can point you to HERE, the map update provider.

Just to through in an alternative. You could use a smart phone Sat Nav instead of the OEM one. I've just used OSMAnd+ on my android phone for all my driving and hiking around South Island NZ during a 2 week vacation. You only need GPS as all the maps are downloaded to the phone. Couldnt fault it. Jules
