Bleeding Freelander 2!!

So an update...sorry for lack of news, just flat out with projects.

Freelander running fine once I bled the injection system and on the car computer has jumped up to 38-9 mpg from 29-32mpg after swirl valve removal, rebuild and EGR blanking plate fitted. Closer to 42-3 mpg by fill it it, drive it and refill it method.

To bleed it I removed the "supply to cam mounted pump" pipe from the filter housing and simply attached a 12 volt pump and drew diesel from the tank through the filter. Removed the pump and reattached the supply to the filter housing and then removed the cam pump supply pipe at the pump and fitted the fuel pump so it gently pulls fuel through and pushes it into the cam mounted pump...took four or five cranks after that but all morning trying the way on youtube.

Heres an image of why it started running rough in the first place...

Just sorting the images in the folder for you all.
