Uneven wear on rear tyres

I have noticed that the N/S rear tyre has uneven wear, the outer edge is below legal limit whilst the inside is well within it.

On checking the O/S the same is occuring although not as advanced.

Today I had a new Goodyear Efficient Grip fitted, the tyre fitter suggested that I have a 4 wheel alignment check carried out.

Obviously I will get this done.

I am curious if anyone else has experienced this uneven wear. For the record we are the second owners and the vehicle has not been abused... Shocked by us!

The wear on your 'rear' tyres ....... may well have been fitted to the front at some time ?

.

Thank you for your prompt response, which has made me quickly check through our vehicle file.
It would appear that the rear tyres have always been rear if that makes sense.

That is a good point though, one that I had not considered.

Hard to imagine misalignment/ damage of rear suspension assembly, vehicle drives fine no obvious noises handling issues.

+1 I would definitely double check if possible that the tyres have not been on the front as the FL2 is notorious for wearing the NSF outer edge.
