Alarm keeps going off

My FL2 alarm keeps going off, I have a feeling it could be the bonnet sensor? as when I disarm and lock again the horn just beeps?
Am I right this can be bypassed with a paper clip across connector?

Do you have the LR part number for the paper clip, as I have some filing to do !!!

The other problem with placing a 'paper clip' across the connector, is you wouldn't know the bonnet was open fully, when driving, as the LCD on the dash could not detect it.

Mine went off a couple of times recently, not the horns, just the 'siren' and the hazards. Had a look at this thread:

http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic12558.html?highlight=alarm

I pulled the offending part out, mine looked okayish,

Gave it a wipe and squirted some ACF50 on it and put it back to see if it happened again. The next morning I got into the car and a moth took off from the front and went to the rear of the car. Not sure if that would set the alarm off but I sprayed fly spray over the interior that evening.

So far no more false alarms.

Mine kept going off for no reason, I replaced the alarm sounder £30 off the bay still kept doing it. Did a reset with the car battery and its been fine ever since.

Hi, I have an LR2 in the back end of Saudi. Which side would the electrical connection be on to try shorting the bonnet alarm terminal? A few pictures behind the headlight but are talking drivers side, ( main battery side) or the passenger side?
Thanks
Pete

Went to a car electrician who stayed getting a piece of wire while we were talking. Reached in the bonnet pulled out the plug, crossed the terminals with the wire, and pushed it back in. 20 seconds later no more alarm going off and no more bonnet open message. Refused to charge me
