Now that the Manufacturers are turning out vulgar pieces of gangster bling , fit only for premiership footballers and pimps , perhaps some of the existing “‘car butchers” like Overfinch and Kahn might have to change their business models . They could take the factory pigs and turn them into discreet , classy vehicles 2009 GS Auto Zermatt Silver - Sold June 21 after 10 years of ownership

RR have lost the plot since BMW owned them, that radiator grill looks really cheap, there was a reason the original was concave on the flats to stop it looking like sh t, even the Queen has a much better class of official car, a Bentley my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

If you want a definitive example of tasteless and vulgar, you have to look no further than the exterior of Bentley 4x4 thingy (I can’t remember its name and can’t even be bothered to look it up!). There’s not a lot wrong with her Aintree Green L322 |

I keep getting images in my mind of that Austin 1100 with a Vanden Plas grille. About as tasteless.

Great clip of the Van den Plas Princess 1300 - thank you Past Master. ( I think it was always 1300 rather than 1100cc.) Loved the walnut dash and leather seats. My English teacher used to own one and we quite fancied her and her car if memory serves me well. A similar concept was the Wolsely 1885 - the "Land Crab". Beautiful walnut dashboard and lovely armchair seats. Dynamically both left a tadge to be desired however. |

I think it will sell well across the pond as they seem to like unusual designs somewhat. Who knows it might grow on us! After all very few people liked the Disco 3 when it was first unveiled as it was likened to a Transit Connect! |
