After a bit more digging I have found out they are called starlock washers. Much easier to find what you're looking for when you know the name of the product you're looking for. Freelander 2 XS 2013

That easy a spring clipped jumped off and he did not notice then put the drive type selector unit back without it. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

I know, it does make it look easy and that's why i decided to attempt the procedure, following that video to the letter. Unfortunately it doesn't show him removing all the starlock washers and actually replacing the leather gaitor boot.

Can always glue that frame back in dont have to use those silly rivets
