How deep does the profile need to be 5mm?

Quick thought what do you all think about sticking the seal around the orofice on the car body and not on the light fitting?

Found your old post with the artwork.. might try it when I get leak again, or put some duck tape on the metal, or use the seal I bought....endless possibilities, but just smeared some more grease on for now

I just clicked a new light in. Leak instantly cured and if it lasts five years as the original did then I won't be too displeased.

Mine was in the dealers today for a fix, they removed and resealed the existing light. Said that they could have fitted a new light but it was likely to leak again and whatever sealer they used (tigerseal?) wont.
Happy enough as it was a warranty fix, also had a Jaguar XE as a courtesy car for the day which was pleasant. The 2.0 Ingenium diesel showing 55 mpg Thumbs Up Landrover - turning owners into mechanics since 1948
