I know that normally the headlight washers should only work if the windscreen washer button is pressed 5 times, but my headlight washers work on the first press of the button. It's not really a problem, but it is a bit annoying as I have to fill the bottle more often and it's washing the headlights unnecessarily.

Thanks dorsetfreelander, but that thread just re-iterates the MOT requirements. As mentioned in that thread, the washers are only supposed to operate every fifth press of the button. Mine don't, they operate every time. It's as though they've 'lost' their set sequence. It's not going to affect the MOT, as they still work. I just want to know how to reset the sequence back to 'factory default' -------------------------------------------------------------

You may have done this but sometimes disconnecting the battery for a while works all kinds of magic. |
