£681? Is that fully comp or just third party, fire and theft? |

You’re lucky. They normally won’t pay out twice on the same injury/condition. Our friends had a horse and in the end, they could only get insurance to cover the nearside rear leg! That’s not a joke by the way. Past: FL2 TD4 HSE Auto

Agreed, they won't cover repeat injuries. We sort of hope if he limps home it's the other leg ![]() |

Once out cat got to a similar age we faced the same issue (and other insurers will not take on a cat over 12) so we set up a separate bank savings account to cover the any costs and I transfer in a fixed amount each month - the cat account currently has more in it than my bank account. |

Is the £681 for a year or just a "cat year" ? 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto

Are you able to shop around or will other insurers not touch the cat due to age? Even after declaring claims, other insurers are cheaper than the renewal quote of the existing one. FL2 TD4 GS 60 reg Facelift - so many issues

I insure myself by putting a monthly amount in a pet account. |

Went on to MoneySupermarket and found the same insurers would insure the cat for £442 ![]() Will be going back on to MS site to whittle down the quotes as there's a lot of decent ones on there even less than the £442 |

We have just changed insurance for our cat as he is 15 in March. A lot of things that are included in the cover are not covered for him due to his age, so why pay for them. It was £400 odd but the new policy is £100 odd. We have been lucky and never had to claim for him. I don’t known who the policy is with as he Mrs sorted it out. |

i stopped insuring my last Springer Spaniel when she was about 9/10 as I had never made a claim (she had been insured through a couple of companies over the years). The premiums were up to about £50 p/m and just not worth it.
