I've got 2 original LR clamp on crossbars, i'd like to use the roofrails without the fixed crossbar, just don't know if this fixed crossbar is a must? 'per aspera ad astra' |

Should you decide to remove the aero cross bar, make sure you plug the fixing holes, else water will get in and when frozen split the roof rail. Common problem on Freelander 1 3dr models.
