87940 and its beginning to slip a little at peak boost between 2000rpm and 2500rpm so gonna need a new one in awhile however time to engage driving miss daisy mode for a bit until I get closer to the first caravan jaunt away. Will change the whole lot when the gearbox is off clutch, dmf, oil seal and thrust bearing ect after looking at how to much of a pain in the posterior removing the gearbox is If your going through hell, keep going!

My 14 reg XS started doing this a few months ago, apparently there are two fixes. One is a software update and the other is to remove battery terminals and do a hard reset. I haven't done either yet. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto 5 x FL2 4 manual + 1 auto Now Discovery Sport P250 MHEV SE |

Garage disconnected battery (don't know whether they touched the terminals together), but its all OK now. Least of my worriies compared to a twisted pedal box. How can that happen. I've had it from new , never off road , mainly motorway miles

Right ... got a new pedal fitted now, so my problems have been twofold ....slightly leaking slave cylinder, but more difficult to diagnose was a ‘twisted’ clutch pedal. . It was off centre / twisted and so on its return stroke it always located in an off centre position . This meant that often it caught on the main mounting stud for the pedal box to the car body / bulkhead. The main mounting stud couldn’t be moved any further . I’ve got the old pedal and now I know exactly what the garage were on about.
