Views on, De-badging?

I de-badged my, Freelander, as I thought 16 bits of plastic stuck on the tail gate did nothing to enhance the appearance and was a pain to clean around.
Anyone got any thoughts on this subject?

De-bagging is I believe something that is now only done in Boys Public Schools Olosteve so I think this post is off topic and politically incorrect, even if the de-bagger owns a nice red Freelie Wink

A shame to have a shortened down 4 digit plate a few mm off.

I think trimmed down plates are a bit more harder to line up. MY14 Kahn Converted Dynamic - Fuji White Ebony/Pimento Interior

On some vehicles de-badging improves the overall appearance - not sure it make much of a difference on the FL2 to be honest. Jules

Adds nothing to the FL2 IMO, in fact I think it detracts. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Agreed Nut. We had a few de-badged beamers to include hard topped convertibles. My neighbour went the other way and added M badges to his beamer estate. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

Agree with you, I fitted these in a bit of a hurry when picking up from the dealership.
1st time the salesman had someone turn up and fit their own plates.
Got to admit they've been on for more than a year without me noticing.

I know there's nothing that can be done legally, but the yellow plates look awful against the bright red bodywork imo. The red/yellow contrast Rolling Eyes

Mixed feelings on this. I can see why you’ve done it, but it’s given a different emphasis to the shape of the back of the car and it’s a bit too plain.

I wouldn’t put the lettering back, but what it really needs an alternative horizontal strip to re-emphasise the width (rather than the height) is one of these:

I put one of these on the back of my D4’s and it looks so much better than the cheapo black plastic bit Thumbs Up
