2008 Freelander 2 TD4 SE Manual Santorini Black
Aberdeen & Shire, comes to a halt.

I here that all traffic in and around Aberdeen came to a halt with this batch of snow. The A96 was a car park all the way into town. But that was only the 10 miles from Inverurie to Aberdeen that i saw.

So how did all the Aberdeen & Shire FL2's get on with the weather Question Question

It made for some good fun out here in the sticks Laughing

Traffic was diabolical on anderson drive this morning. I'm not normally a road-rage type of person but following a woman this morning in the right hand lane up from the haudagain roundabout doing 10mph with nothing to the left of her Censored Censored Censored , lets just say the air turned blue inside my car!!!

Apart from that, it was good fun watching all the idiots getting stuck, wheel spinning and getting nowhere Laughing ______________________

I drive from cults to aboyne everyday so went out on south deeside road, just to make it more interesting!

Past 3 cars which had sliped off the road due to the ice with snow on top, the Fl2 was amazing!

Got to the steep hills which looked like no one had driven them yet, the car just powered up no problem.

Yes the motor is good.

The traffic was sticking here in the village of kintore. The A96 was funny with all the traffic stuck Rolling with laughter

if i had a towbar, what money you could make pulling cars up the hill. 08 FL2 SE TD4 manual,Santorini Black, Factory fitted Black Tinted Glass, Anti-Tesco Trolly Side Protection, bebe confort axiss carseats & Cargo barrier to stop twin's buggy & junk coming through. I went out to Strathdon today and had fun at one point up to the axles in snow Very Happy

Have to say I did attempt a steep hill that had been semi ploughed by a tractor and had to stop near the top to let someone by. The FL couldn't get going again no matter what I did. At one point it was even sliding back with locked wheels towards a drop off which was a bit buttock clenching.
I think this was due to my crappy road tyres though coupled with ice under the snow.
Otherwise got on fine Thumbs Up

Driving in Aberdeen tonight has been an absolute nightmare. Taken me over 3 hours to travel just 12 miles home from work.......and all because of a little bit of snow and ice.

You should see the number of idiots we have on the road up here Rolling Eyes ______________________

The runway was closed for around an hour while it was cleared of snow.

Nice link there bjartin Thumbs Up

But to be honest, taking photos of the cars in front of me in the snow doesn't really "float me boat" Rolling Eyes ______________________

Friday took me two hours to get from Union St to the hospital.

Everyone finished work early and hit the roads, at 2 miles an hour, then blocked every junction on the way! Evil or Very Mad

Scotland

I know these roads well as we use it a couple of times a year when heading up to 'the Broch' with the caravan. A couple of steep bits approaching roundabouts, these must have been a nightmare.

One thing is strange though, the weather in England was all over the so-called 'national' news but the problems in Aberdeenshire didn't even merit a mention! Typical!
