You won't go into London in a FL2 unless you have cash to burn:

Don't mention that communist nazi Khan to me. It's all well and good trying to ban the car and putting everyone on busses and trains, however he conveniently forgets that there a gangs of scumbags just waiting to stick a knife in you on an almost daily basis on these modes of transport.

Lived in London most of my life and no-one has ever tried to stick a knife in me, even on night buses.

I don't agree. I think the London Mayor has got it right, but only for cities. Outside the cities, in the more rural areas, cars are more essential as they are the most effective means of providing door to door transport. Cities should get subsidised transport for the citizens, and 'park and ride' schemes for those coming from a distance by car. Obviously I won't be able to use the Freelander without paying for the privilege in certain parts of my home town in the near future so I'll action plan B

totally agree, but they need to cut the emissions from the aforementioned buses, vans and cads. Common sense isn't very common. _______________________________ 2007 Land Rover Freelander2 I6 hse Auto |

Buses are done and benefit from cheaper RFL via a reduced pollution certificate which is issued at annual test once tested.
