Did the Freelander 2 have different height options from the factory?

Not that I am aware of.

LR did a Freelander 2 'Sport' model, but can't find any change in ride height.
Although the Freelander 1 'Sport' did.

there is an online review of the 2008/09 HST which says this :-

"The Freelander is different and was engineered with off-road use very much in mind but the HST has a different bias and has stiffened springs and a lowered ride height to cope with sportier on-road driving."

Only difference in struts is that late cars have the electronic handbrake, this means an extra bracket is welded to the rear strut for carrying / securing the wires and the lift in price for that later aftermarket strut is far more expensive for the sake of two penneth of mild steel being stuck on.  FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

you can get a bilsteni damper for a Evoque will lower by 20mm and they do work have a set on a 2009 commercial not too hard but work well. by what I could see of them you can change the inserts. When I get home I will put the part number on.

ive never heard of different factory suspension heights for the FL2, I do believe the HST, Sport LE and Dynamic have different approach and departure angles to the bumper extensions but that's all.
