Headlight Unit Lens Removal

Hi There,

Does anybody know if it is possible to remove the lens from the headlight unit on a MY13 Freelander, please? After replacing a bulb I noticed that there are clips all around the headlight lens (see attached images) so got me wondering.
Before I go and do any irreversible damage, I thought I would ask first. Basically I want to get some glass shards out (see attached photo) if possible.

Thanks

Dom

Cook it in an oven at 220 degs F ... for 8 minutes.
That loosens off the glue, then part the lugs on the front lens.

Hi Largered,

Thanks for the advice. Didn't realise it was glued together, so I think I will give it a miss and live with the broken shards.

Many thanks,

I suppose you have to reheat it to soften the glue again to allow it to go back together tightly to prevent water leaks. Jules
