Agree - Ive never understood the concept of Gift Vouchers. Some people seem to think its more of a present if you give vouchers rather than cash - this I find very odd.

Jimboland. Because the money she had was in her head already spent.

A 'friend' of mine bought some cash in a dodgy pub, very cheaply I assume, anyway the local petrol station took a dislike to fake money and reported him.

Garage on way in to work at 6am today - bloke at front paid for fuel by card; forgot to pay for his smarties! No cash and garage wouldn’t accept card for less than a quid. Resolved by cancelling previous transaction and putting it all through again. Pita. No wonder he looked embarrassed when he walked away.

I would have paid for the Smarties for him, just to get the queue moving again.

I did some computer work for a small company and lots of customers bought gift tokens for birthdays and xmas presents etc which had to be used within a year. One day I happened to have a look at the database which kept track of these and found that on average fewer than 40% were ever redeemed. Quite a nice little earner and as far as the purchaser is concerned they have given the gift so no longer interested. 3 x FL1 2 manual + 1 auto
