GVW Gross vehicle weight +100 kg while towing

I don't tow but for those who do, you might want to double check your car's manual to give yourselves a bit more capacity if you have not done so already.

'Note: When towing, the maximum permissible Gross Vehicle Weight can be increased by a maximum of 100 kg (220 lbs) provided that the road speed is limited to 100 km/h (60 mph).'

You still need to factor in rear axle load (see following note in manual) but at least you have another 100 kg to play with with careful loading of the car while towing. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

England

Are your tow bars the same mounting as ours? Many vehicles have greater nose weight loadings greater than the UK, including the USA but whether there are differences in the tow bars or mounting points most of us don't know, though our towbars have load limitations, having read the addendum you refer to and have a LR bar I assume that my bar will be plated for 250kg, whether other manufacturers bars are rated to this higher loading or just the standard 150kg as in the handbook up to 2012, is the addendum only applicable and supplied with cars fitted with the LR bar? my PC is slightly to the right of Genghis

No just some country's are to stupid to work things out Mr. Green like I did, 100 times 5 divided by 8 equals 62.5 instead of checking, I thought 80 KPH was 50 MPH in fact it is 49.70969536. regardless speeds are the same wherever you are! Common sense isn't very common.
