Got a message today with a battery in red and ‘start engine or system will shut down in 3 minutes’ , this happened when I had left the car unlocked with the engine off, and then it was followed by ‘low battery, shutting down’ ?

Thanks Bob. I was actually sat in it for more than 10 hours yesterday, starting it occasionally to keep warm, maybe that has run things down a bit and doing a lot of stopping and starting today, which is when the message came on. 64 plate TD4 SE

All your stop starting is doing is making your car needing a flywheel ring gear and starter motor sooner than later. I turn my off every journey. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

It’s stopped doing it now after a decent run up the M6 and I’ve started to disable stop/ start as per Yorky Bob’s suggestion. 64 plate TD4 SE
