Guys (and Shar!) I know in the UK it is rare for folks to have winter tyres, but you really should consider it for your F2. My RRS normally runs on 255/40 20" Pirelli Scorpion Mud and snow tyres but I also have a set LR 19" wheels (smallest wheels that can be fitted to the TDv8 because of its fancy Brembo front brake callipers) shod with a set of Pirelli Snow and Ice tyres 255/50 19's, makes a huge difference to the grip even in a car with TR. The other "benefit" I have noticed is that the ride is much more pliant on 19's with a 50 aspect than it is on 20's with a 40 profile. The LR wheels I bought from someone selling on the for sale section of RRSport.co.uk who wanted a fancier wheel............... now he wants to buy them back so he can fit winter tyres to his RRS! TR and winter tyres on a modern Land Rover make it almost unstoppable in the snow......................... they don't help much on ice though when you will not stop any quicker than anybody else. I haven't got stuck at all in the last 36 hours (but we haven't had enough snow to get anybody stuck here!
