Have you tried manually unlocking from the inside, ie pull the lock latch before trying the handle?

The locking button above the handle seems to be disconnected as it does nothing. Any combination of using them does nothing, is there a connection to the cable that is prone to breaking? Seems a bit odd that both sides are the same. |

Can you hear/feel the lock actuators work when you use the fob to lock/unlock the car?

Pity it wasn’t just child locks,I agree with post above it sounds like it isn’t connected anymore the door cards are pretty easy to get off and have a look what’s going on. |

Have you tried pressing the unlock button on the dash board? Rear doors should be able to be unlocked after the front doors have been opened.

I have an update. Apparently the dealer had both door cards off to fix a faulty window regulator so am guessing the cables were not re-attached. Will have a look on Saturday. |

Nice easy fix in the end then...don't you just love 'dealers' (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.
