I have looked into this and you either need to get a UK/English DVD player or get the computer chip replaced with an English version. I have ordered a 2nd hand DVD player from eBay in the UK so will get round to fitting that at some point. Eurosurgeons in Auckland can put a new chip in your player apparently but I think it is about $1200 for the Satnav and Radio conversion. You can get the disks at https://landrover.navshop.com.au/ I bought a Navcom diagnostic for my car and changed the radio region to Europe which sorted the radio being restricted to Jap frequencies. Hope that helps, Dave |

Thanks for that. The radio is fine and the screen is all in english but no NZ map. Anyway if thats the price I am looking at I will stick with the phone maps. |

I think that you should get away with getting the correct sat nav discs if everything else is okay - these are available from several internet seller but the latest disc is only 2017/18 which means late 2016 data. |

Sure you wouldn't rather go Android and use up to date google maps, and get the added bonus of music beamed from phone etc: http://www.freel2.com/forum/topic30709.html

Finally managed to upgrade the satnv. Bought an English DVD unit off Ebay and fitted that. Changed the SATNAV region to Europe and bought the DVD. All worked in the end |
