Took mine to a pay and play site (Slindon 4x4 safari - 4x4driving.com) and what a blast it was.

Air filter ended up being my Achilles heel but I never meant to get in to the bog holes so deep.

She still runs perfectly fine. Ran for a week with a sock as an air filter too!

Looks great - as a matter of interest do you have a sump guard and tank guard fitted? Was wondering if its safe to use without these.

I have the original metal sump guard/under tray and no tank guard - the fuel tank has taken a beat of a beating with a nice dent in it! A guard is certainly on the cards for the fuel tank.

Other than that, very capable off road under a number of conditions.

My latest issue was the engine earth becoming faulty after a pay and play I was at this Sunday just gone. RAC thinks it may have corroded or something along those lines so I'll be tracing it and attempting to clean/restore this weekend. 2018 - 2007 '56 manual HSE Freelander 2

make sure your flush the radiator fins to get the mud out

my first FL2 started to suffer from overheating, and going limp mode randomly

LR put this down to the amount of mud i had in the radiator fins, though that had been there for 18months without issue Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

now that is a dirty pair.
