Fog lights into face lift bumper

Hi everyone
Thinking of putting face lift bumper onto mine couple of questions
1 do foglights on 57 plate bumper fit face lift bumper?
2 what about towing eye cover are these the same on both types of bumpers?
Any help and advice would be great
Thank you

2007 GS, you may just need that tow eye. My best advice is don’t bother, save up and buy better and newer. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

After market fitting of fogs is not straight forward so if you don’t have them now I would forget it. If you have them I would assume if you get a facelift front you need to get one complete with fogs and just wire in. Towing eye won’t have moved is my best guess.

Agree, not worth chucking good money after bad. How often do you really really really absolutely critically need fog lights. If they are there great, if not, one can usually cope.

I haven't even bothered using mine with the fog here. Yes we get fog. Have used them once or twice on outback dirt tracks to highlight holes in the track & to light the side of the road for kangaroos. Beyond that I would save your hard earned cash for a better investment!

Best option would be a facelift bumper that already has the fog lights fitted (per link).

However its his money, (and he clearly has plenty as he also keeps a Defender 90 on the road Laughing ) so here is some alternate advice to 'buy a newer model' Laughing

if your current FL2 has fog lights already then they can be a straight swap over to a 2010> facelift bumper but you will need the correct fog light inserts for the new bumper. Everything else just swaps straight over.

ive not looked recently, but 2nd hand bumpers on ebay were going for around £100-£150 depending on condition, then you have the price of the inserts (£40) and a respray (£200)... all in maybe £500 to facelift the front end or less if you find a decent bumper in the same colour.

However.... to any non FL2 owners they wont be able to tell the difference so its only personal preference if you change it really.

When looking at the facelift front bumpers, look VERY carefully at the item, zoom in as much as poss, check the top right and left fixing brackets are not broken, also if you have front p/sensors make sure the locating brackets are still there, they are not cheap if you have to buy them.stealers want £50 a set Shocked
I was dead lucky with mine,i got a matching Santorini black one in very good condition for £150 all in inc postage from Scotland,i was able to give it a serious t cut with a polisher and it came up well.
When it was all done and dusted I put the old one on fleabay and got £60 for it.
let us know how it goes.
don't forget to check out the "how to"on youtube by powerfulluk.
cheers

Points taken I also never used the fog lights.
But i have taken the standard bulbs out and fitted bright white led bulbs which I use as daytime
running lights.i also did this in all my discovery 3s(I believe they are the same part.) gone
