Silence is golden! Parking sensor switch now fitted

Finally got round to changing the switch bar in the centre console for one that has a parking sensor switch. Was a bit fiddly but now on and plugged in. I have had the switches for nearly a year and not got around to fitting but we moved to a house with a narrow drive and they drove me mad every time I reversed out!

Thanks to members here who posted the 'how to'. 2013 GS Baltic Blue - part exchanged now for Volvo V40

I have the front sensors as well as the rear ones so you get a switch, thankfully! It is painful, front alarm going off, different rear alarm going off, just trying to back out of the garage trying to concentrate on avoiding running over people on the footpath. I don't need any sensors to get in or out of a garage. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

I can switch off the parking sensors on my 63 plate, so can park in silence! Or are we talking different sensors

If you have front and rear sensors then LR kindly installed an on/off button in the switch bar over the heater controls.

Mine only has rear sensors and LR did not provide this luxury and the noise was very irritating.

I got hold of a switch bar that included the sensor switch, the loom is pre-wired so easy to install, plug and play! 2013 GS Baltic Blue - part exchanged now for Volvo V40

Do you have the LR part number of the switch panel with the sensor switch (I have a Facelift Dash MY2013 GS). If it's 'Plug and Play' I'll get one. Thumbs Up Gone:

Hi, I found the switch bar on ebay, with help of this forum. I have the original description, that I've copied below, the last numbers might be the part number?

LAND ROVER FREELANDER 2 06-14 HAZARD DOOR LOCK SWITCH PANEL PARKING DH52 13D734

I paid £10 last year but saw another one on ebay that sold for £60.

Good luck with your search. 2013 GS Baltic Blue - part exchanged now for Volvo V40

Sounds like what I need, my towing electrics are bodged in and drives me nuts when reversing with a trailer or bike rack on!

It could be LR049015 or LR049016.

LR049015: With parking aid. Without start/stop system.
LR049016: With auto stop-go. With park aid.

LR049014 to LR049025 are all switch packs with different combinations.

Spot on thanks. Didn't know you could switch the rear sensors off on the GS, only upper spec models with both front and rear. Many thanks. Gone:

This is my console unit and the switches are those above the heating controls below and to the side of the CD slot. This is the original with the large ECO button on the right, the new bar has a smaller eco button and the sensor switch on the far right.

I have a feeling this should work with mine, looks like the same bar just with the extra button...

I looks like the same bar with the parking sensor button as you say. Worth a try and get rid of the screaming sensors! 2013 GS Baltic Blue - part exchanged now for Volvo V40
