Just to avoid confusion regarding "driveshaft" do you mean the (JLR terminology) driveshaft aka prop shaft or halfshaft ? Jules |

I can guess a good tightness as a ex mechanic. If in doubt, clean up parts and use Locktite rather than shear off anything. FL2 MY10 TD4 GS traded in at 2 years

From the manual it looks to me like the front half shafts use a bolt which tightens to 45Nm + 60 degrees whilst the rear half shafts use a nut tightened to 330Nm + 30 degrees and stake the nut. Big difference. Jules |

What jules said (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.
